Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Cardiff area for this position.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with other Esri developers, product management, sales and solutions teams to understand market demands, developer requirements, product offerings, and demonstrate and advocate on behalf of the developer community
- Collaborate with API teams to create, update, and maintain product documentation, code sample, tutorials, and experiment with new APIs
- Document technical topics and concepts
- Produce developer-focused product documentation
- Understand the customer, who are software developers, gathering requirements and use cases that translate into actionable code and doc improvements.
- Write blogs, record videos, and participate in customer outreach activities to help developers successfully integrate ArcGIS APIs and services into their solutions
- Stay up-to-date and strive to be an industry expert with the latest technologies and developer technology trends
- Work, adapt, and grow on a cutting-edge team of like-minded individuals working together to improve and challenge the status-quo
- Verify user workflows that make use of our location services to solve real-world problems
- 5+ years of GIS experience in a scientific or engineering environment, preferably with a focus on application development
- Proficient with Desktop, Web, and/or Mobile GIS applications - ArcGIS, QGIS, or others
- Understanding of REST services and experience with RESTful APIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor in GIS, computer science, or related fields like the physical or social sciences
- Experience with documentation workflows that use any of the following:
- Markdown, YAML, JSON, HTML, CSS, JSX/MDX, or HTML templates
- Understand and use Source Control tools such as GitHub
- Previous experience (at a basic level) with a programming language such as Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Master’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is £42,000.00 - £69,600.00
