Skills and Competencies
- Proven ability to independently project manage small to mid-sized experiences and ability to collaborate across teams, regions, and time zones
- Excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and collaboration with SMEs, producers, content, and marketing teams. Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and commitment to quality in brand design and experiential marketing
- Experience with budgets, contracts, vendor coordination, and event technology platforms/tools and experience coordinating virtual, hybrid, or large-scale events
- Proficiency in leveraging automation, reporting tools, and AI-enabled assistants to enhance workflow efficiency and insights
- Familiarity with event technology platforms, registration tools, and CRM systems and experience using automation tools, reporting dashboards, and AI assistants to support event workflows
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in event management, digital events, experiential marketing, brand activations, or creative agency work
Responsibilities
The Moody’s Ratings Events - Senior Associate supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of experiences and activations across the Australasia portfolio, while contributing to larger regional and global programs. This role focuses on delivery excellence, experience quality, and strong partner collaboration. The Senior Associate plays a key role in executing high-quality experiences while helping improve processes, tools, and ways of working — including the effective use of digital platforms, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to enhance efficiency, consistency, and insight.
This is not a traditional corporate events role. It is a creative, experience-driven position focused on delivering engaging, on-brand activations in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. The role sits within the Sydney office accompanied by another member of the events team and works closely with brand, marketing, content, communications, and external partners to ensure each experience delivers business value and a high-quality attendee journey.
- Support planning and delivery of regional events from concept through execution and post-event reporting
- Execute assigned experiences while supporting larger regional or global programs
- Translate creative briefs into engaging live and hybrid experiences
- Partner with brand, content, and creative teams to bring campaigns and narratives to life through events
- Coordinate logistics including venues, production, vendors, catering, registration, travel, and on-site execution
- Manage timelines, track budgets, and identify potential risks for assigned programs
- Serve as a key operational contact for local partners and vendors
- Help ensure experiences are engaging, on-brand, memorable, and operationally sound
- Track performance metrics including attendance, engagement, satisfaction, and cost efficiency
- Capture feedback and insights to support continuous improvement
- Use digital tools (PowerBi, Asana), automation, and AI-enabled systems to streamline planning, reporting, communications, and data analysis
- Contribute to evolving team processes, templates, and toolkits to improve consistency and scalability
AI & Digital Workflow Capabilities
This role is expected to work confidently with modern digital tools and emerging AI capabilities to improve event delivery and insights. This includes:
- Using AI-assisted tools to support project planning, timelines, and task management
- Leveraging AI for attendee insights, post-event analysis, and reporting summaries
- Supporting content and messaging development through AI-enabled drafting and refinement tools
- Streamlining communications, vendor coordination, and documentation workflows
- Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve data accuracy
- Staying informed on emerging event technology and AI-driven experience enhancements
