Role overview

The Head of Finance position is responsible for being a strategic financial advisor to the business, coordinating accounts reconciliations, preparing financial documents, and analyzing reports to provide management with financial information, while adhering to Corporate Accounting Guidelines and local accounting laws.

This role has a multi-country scope across LATAM and requires a hands-on leader involved in finance execution, particularly in accounting, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leadership, supporting decision-making through financial insights, planning, and performance analysis
  • Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional objectives
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and statutory reporting obligations across countries
  • Manage internal controls, risk management, and corporate policy adherence
  • Oversee cash management, credit management, and coordination with external partners (auditors, tax advisors, payroll)
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting standards
  • Manage finance operations across multiple countries, ensuring consistency and alignment across geographies
  • Lead a distributed team of 5-8 direct reports, combining leadership with hands-on involvement where required, particularly in lean or evolving structures

Requirements

  • Strong accounting background (CPA preferred), with experience in financial analysis and decision-making
  • Solid understanding of local and international accounting standards
  • Experience managing accounting operations, reporting, and compliance processes
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple countries or regions
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and operationally, with a hands-on approach when needed
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across different levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience leading distributed or cross-country teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven
