DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Builds, troubleshoots, and tests electronic circuits, harnesses, and assemblies; creates and maintains documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Certifies/tests lab for electro-static discharge effectiveness.
Works with other organizations to obtain support with parts, mechanical support, calibrations, etc; works with outside vendors.
Assists with test and test procedure design.
Troubleshoots circuits of advanced complexity.
Designs, builds, tests and troubleshoots prototype electronic circuits, harnesses and assemblies.
Troubleshoots and tests current products; prepares and conducts product demonstrations.
Generates documentation using appropriate application software.
Manages lab work requests; documents and administers workflows.
Completes schedules, planning, reviews, and releases.
Develops test result report formats.
Trains and leads other technicians and technical support specialists assigned to the lab.
Understands and apply appropriate Company and department rules and guidelines to work and to systems; participate in the maintenance of quality procedures.
Develops and conducts training programs; provide counseling, mentoring, and coaching.
Serves as company representatives in various capacities to customers, suppliers, and outside agencies.
Interacts effectively with all s of employees throughout the company.
Exercises independent decision-making and initiative in determining what needs to be done and planning and implementing the needed activities; perform problem solving, creative technical and analytical work, budget management, and hands-on applications; coordinate programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks as they become evident; initiate, develop, lead, and participate in improvements projects.
Knows and comply with all safety policies and procedures; demonstrates confidentiality as required.

Travels as required by the position.
Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR Bachelors degree in a related field. Must pass all related testing.
Experience:
Department of Labor Certification OR four year experience/education requirement accomplished through either Bachelors degree in related field OR associates degree in related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Supports and troubleshoot HIL hardware and software development operations. The worker would support building and resolving issues with the hardware associated with the HIT box.

- Utilizes advanced skills and technical expertise to perform analyses on hardware designs. Provide interpretation of results and draft technical reports.
- Ensure interactions with suppliers, engineers, and other functions; develops and gives technical presentations.
- Ensures maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions.Assists in the creation and execution of GMIS HIT bench hardware.
- Develops and executes measurement plans; leads the troubleshooting process; verifies proposed solutions; designs and procures fixtures for special tests.
- Documents hardware test measurements and test summaries.
- Troubleshooting/repair current HIT hardware solutions. This could include wiring harnesses, connectors, and project boxes.
- Uses troubleshooting techniques for problem solving.
- Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks as they become evident; initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement projects.
- Demonstrates Cummins, OEM, and supplier confidentiality as required.
- Responsible for understanding customer electrical requirements such that they can support verification testing for new and existing product releases, as well as any customer or supplier support.
