Join Stryker’s dynamic and international environment where you will take full ownership of finance at our AMB site in Waghäusel and play a key role in driving business performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making. The mission of this role is to ensure the implementation of and adherence to corporate finance policies at the AMB site. You will be responsible for the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial reporting, while establishing and maintaining robust internal controls.
As a key player in the ongoing integration of AMB into Stryker, you will lead the finance workstream, supporting critical processes such as demand planning, and acting as a main interface to international finance teams, particularly in the US.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on financial leadership at site level, making you a trusted partner to both local and global stakeholders.
What you will do:
Integration roles and responsibilities
Lead AMB through the financial close in line with corporate policies and support the setup of financial structures (e.g., GQO and commercial split)
Prepare the entity for statutory audit and act as a key member of the integration team, partnering with GQO and Commercial Finance leads
Implement finance processes and internal controls aligned with corporate policies and frameworks
Financial Compliance / Statutory Audit
Own and execute accounting activities (AP, AR, GL), including hands-on postings where required
Lead financial close processes and ensure compliance with internal policies, US GAAP, and German GAAP (HGB)
Support the development and enforcement of finance policies and procedures across the organization
Lead and coordinate the annual statutory audit
GQO roles and responsibilities
Lead financial planning and analysis for the manufacturing site in Waghäusel, including budgeting, forecasting, and annual cost roll
Oversee cost structures and P&L, partnering with manufacturing and cross-functional teams on performance, projections, and variances
Prepare and analyze financial, tax, and management reports, ensuring compliance with German GAAP and coordination with advisors and auditors
Drive and support strategic initiatives such as process improvements, cost optimization, and ERP enhancements, while strengthening financial processes and controls
Commercial roles and responsibilities (during integration period)
Partner with EMEA and US finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting
Support demand planning and ensure alignment across sourcing, manufacturing, and commercial functions
Manage financial reporting in consolidation systems (e.g., HFM), provide pricing analytics, and support new market entry initiatives
People management
Lead, hire, and develop junior finance team members
Act as a key business partner to site leadership, fostering collaboration and influencing strategic decision-making
What you need:
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role in an international environment
Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP plus solid understanding of financial reporting standards
Experience in financial close, reporting, compliance, and internal controls
Experience with an ERP System (for example Bruni Supply Chain Solutions or others)
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities, with a strong focus on prioritization and project management
High level of integrity, reliability, and resilience, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications
Professional certification (e.g., German CPA or CPA)
Knowledge of DATEV is a plus
Background in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Experience in process improvement initiatives and system implementations (e.g., ERP enhancements)
Exposure to international finance operations and cross-border collaboration

Additional information
Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you have the option to work from home. However, regular on-site presence (2-3 days per week) at our Waghäusel location is important to build strong relationships and remain visible and accessible to your team.
