We're seeking someone to join our Cyber Data Risk & Resilience team as Lead Data Scientist (Gen AI) in Non-Financial Risk Technology division to build and execute complex surveillance models and scenarios that focuses on monitoring and enforcing the firm's information barriers.

The Information Controls technology team, under Non-Financial Risk Technology group, builds and executes complex surveillance models and scenarios that focuses on monitoring and enforcing the firm's information barriers.

What you'll do in the role:
Threat Hunt is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our global team. Threat Hunts mission is to seek out attacks against the Morgan Stanley network, to engineer detection strategies, and to reduce risk to Morgan Stanley assets. As a new Threat Hunt Data Science VP you will be tasked with developing and maintaining cutting edge analytic models and detections to help defend Morgan Stanley networks.
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills; proficiency working with large datasets, data mining,
statistical methods, segmentation method, algorithm design and implementation. Ability to analyse large,
complex, multidimensional datasets with a variety of tools
Experience of software development experience using Python, PySpark, Elastic and Kibana and experience working with GPUs.
Leverage expertise in systems and data analysis to work through the Analytic Development Lifecycle to detect
anomalous activity.
Develop, deploy and sustain Machine learning capabilities focused on Proactive Threat Hunting and Insider Threat detection.
Contribute expertise in any/all the following: threat hunting, threat intelligence, malware analysis and/or data analysis to a global team.
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently
What You'll Get to Do:
Analyse data from host, network- and file-based data to develop models associated with cyber tactics, techniques and procedures.
Evaluate threats and countermeasures along with architecture to understand impact to enhance the overall security posture of the Firm.
Leverage a lot of different technology in a very high paced team.
What you'll bring to the role:
Overall 12+ years of experience with minimum 8 years of experience directly in building models using Machine learning and AI and 2 + Years of Working in GenAI and LLMs.
Significant experience leading a team of technical individuals, preferably in a global environment.
Ability to work with customers, gather requirements and distil them into complete solutions.
Practitioner experience with analysing host, file, or network-based logs to filter known versus unknown with a goal of finding malicious activity.
Experience working with large data sets.
Strong experience with analytic techniques using primarily Open-Source tools and development.
Experience with and desire to write Python
