Engine Field Service Technician (14x14)

DESCRIPTION

Cummins is looking for a Field service diesel technician to join its team on a mining site (Northern Ontario).

This is a 14x14 position. Camp based. Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.

In this role, you will have the following impacts:

• Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Anticipate and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• This position requires a Heavy duty mechanics certification or a 421A journeyman certification.
• Locally valid driving license.
• Clean 5 year driver's abstract.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Field service work experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products (Aftertreatment, engine repairs, engine swap).
• Customer service experience

About the role

• 14 x 14-rotation day and night shifts
• Work is at Rainy River Mine
• Camp based position.
• Cummins will cover the flights to and from Winnipeg.
• Travel provided from Winnipeg MB to Rainy River ON
• Meal and travel allowance provided
• Please note that the first week of work (Onboarding) will be held in Fort McMurray for the successful candidate
• Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
• FIT Test
• Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.
• Hourly wages 52.00$ hourly (comes up to 58$ on day shift and 61$ on the night shift)
• Overtime includes a minimum of 8 hours of OT for each set of 14 days or nights worked.
