Erika Weisz

Director of Behavioral Science at Helm

Erika Weisz is a social psychologist and the Director of Behavioral Science at Helm. She obtained her PhD in psychology at Stanford University in 2018, where she developed novel psychological interventions to increase empathy and prosocial behavior. Prior to joining Helm, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University where she led a series of laboratory and field experiments leveraging strategies from behavioral economics to increase charitable donations. During this time, she also served on the Climate Committee and Diversity Committee in the Department of Psychology at Harvard, where her projects included planning and presenting in a weekend workshop to help students from historically minority groups with their applications to PhD programs. At Helm, Erika manages a team of researchers made up of behavioral scientists, user experience experts and product analysts, and is spearheading research projects related to civic engagement and equitability in the United States.
