Senior Manager in Global Community Event Strategy, Red Hat

Jennifer (Jen) Madriaga is the Senior Manager in Global Community Event Strategy at Red Hat where she manages the Community and Emerging Technologies event team under Global Event Experiences. She is also embedded within the Open Source Program Office (OSPO) under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). Jen provides marketing expertise for a large number of open source communities and for events targeting technical audiences. She collaborates regularly with a number of community leads, helping them and their communities achieve outreach goals with users, contributors, and other stakeholders. She has been at Red Hat since 2015. She previously worked in higher education and non-profit administration before transitioning to the tech industry.

Jen is a founding member and current chair of the Red Hat Asian Network (RHAN), which was launched in early 2021. She is committed to intersectionality and coalition building with other D + I communities at Red Hat and other companies. She has been a long-time activist in the space of DEI, having completed graduate work in this area and through her involvement with the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS).

Jen graduated magna cum laude and with distinction from Duke University where she also went on to complete a master’s degree. She currently lives in Durham, North Carolina.
