I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I went to school and completed my undergraduate studies in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Monterrey. During my engineering degree, I had the opportunity to attend two exchange programs abroad – Sydney, Australia at the University of Sydney and Toulouse, France at INSA Toulouse. Both programs were unique opportunities to immerse myself in completely different cultures and build new and exciting relationships across the globe. In the final year of my undergraduate degree, 2009, I worked on car production line process improvements at a Fiat-Chrysler manufacturing plant in Mexico. This valuable experience motivated me to consider a career in the corporate world and prompted me to enroll in a business degree in 2010. Once again, I ventured abroad in search of new experiences and people, this time to London, UK where I was accepted to do an MSc Management degree at the Imperial College Business School. My time in London was transformational for my personal and professional lives – I completed my studies, met my husband, and started a career in the financial services industry.
