Making true connections in the workplace is never easy. We can find ourselves asking questions like:
How can I bring my authentic self to work?
How do I find support?
How vulnerable is too vulnerable?
How do I connect with others?
But for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, it can be especially difficult.
Siemens’ Pride ERG Leads Jessica Everest (National Suppression Operations Manager), Serena Jamison (Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist - Export Control and Customs), and RuthAnn Tobin (Operations Manager) will be joining us to talk about the importance of community resources in the live, hybrid, and remote workplaces, and how the true inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community in the professional realm begins with creating connections.
In this discussion you will learn:
- Different ways to break the barrier and connect with your colleagues
- How to identify how vulnerable you'd like to be
- How to assess if a company's culture will meet your needs, and what questions you can ask them during the interview process
