Broadly speaking, diversity is the presence of differences within a given setting. In the workplace, we often refer to diversity as differences in race, nationality, religion, ability, and gender. Additionally, differences in experience, thought, and perspective can all be facets of an organization’s diversity.
Understanding what diversity is, how it affects employee well-being and business outcomes, and how to advance it in the workplace are some of the first steps in building a solid DEIB strategy. Global DEIB Strategist and Trainer Zara Chaudary will be joining us to dive into the topic of diversity and what it means to build and foster a diverse community in the workplace.

Meet The Speaker
Zara Chaudary is a Global DEIB Strategist and Trainer at PowerToFly. The mission of empowering and uplifting underrepresented talent resonates deeply with her on a personal level as she is a fierce advocate for underrepresented employees forever pushing for equitable changes and never settling for the status quo, no matter the risk.
With an extensive background in Human Resources, operations, and programming within the non-profit, government, and tech sectors, Zara keeps a focused eye on the long-term mission and ensures she infuses humor in everything she does along the way.
She’s also not afraid to openly share her love for Brooklyn and donuts!
