Meet The Speaker
Ciera Parks is a human resources executive with 15 years of experience in higher education, manufacturing, nonprofit, cannabis, e-commerce, and technology.
Ciera is the vice president of people and culture at Vangst, the nation's largest cannabis hiring platform. A top priority for her in this role is to close the systemic diversity gap within the cannabis industry. Ciera helps drive business operations forward within organizational structures by maximizing people and technical approaches. Her expertise in building organizations and developing people strategies delivers measurable results.
Ciera's professional accomplishments in the human resources field include a Master's Degree in human resources development and a certification by the Society for Human Resources Management. Ciera has also been elected as the community involvement director and professional development chair for two of Amazon's employee resource groups (ERGs), the Black Employee Network (BEN) and Amazon's LGBTQ Affinity Group (Glamazon), respectively. These honors result from her commitment to leadership and skill development for all workforce populations.
