Alvaro Ulloa is the Managing Director and Global Head of Moody’s Capability Centers. Mr. Ulloa oversees the development and execution of Moody’s Capability Center strategy in alignment with Moody’s strategic priorities. He leads the efforts to ensure an effective governance of Moody’s operations across Costa Rica, Lithuania, and India. From 2016 to 2024, Mr. Ulloa held various roles including County Manager for Costa Rica Capability Center and he performed the role of VP People Regional Partner for the LATAM region. In this capacity, Mr. Ulloa was fundamental in the implementation and execution of human capital strategies to support the role out of Moody’s Local across LATAM, and the creation of the service hub in Costa Rica. Prior to joining Moody’s Mr. Ulloa was SVP – Global Head of Human Resources for Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services. He managed the global Human Resource function with overall responsibility for the full HR cycle in the delivery centers in India, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, and the US sales office. Mr. Ulloa also held several financial related roles in his career, including working as an analyst for a global hedge fund as part of the team that covered the Healthcare sector and working as a Risk Advisory Analyst for Ernst and Young. Mr. Ulloa holds an Executive master’s degree from INCAE Business School and a Licentiate degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Costa Rica. He lives in San Jose, Costa Rica with his wife and two daughters.

Sofia is an Industrial Engineer with an MBA in Finance and Economics. She joined Moody’s in 2016 as a Senior Financial Analyst in MIS Business Planning, when the Finance operation first started in Costa Rica. Her role was to manage a team of 4 junior analysts dedicated to modeling and reporting on MIS Topline.

In 2019, Sofia joined the newly formed Data and Analytics team where she has had the opportunity to lead BI Development squads, the Finance Learning function and most recently take on the challenge of standing up the Data and Analytics Operations team.

Brenda is a collaborative manager experienced in guiding teams in fast-paced settings. She champions the creation of positive environments, fostering a culture of engagement, empowerment, and accountability that drives successful results. Beyond work, Brenda is a dedicated wife and mother, cherishing moments with her toddler, rescue dogs, and loved ones.

Xing joined Moody’s on May 2023. She started as Senior Data Specialist for Mergers and Acquisitions and was promoted to Assistant Director. Currently she leads the team in Costa Rica.
