Christie Brown is an accomplished talent acquisition leader with over 15 years of experience across private and public corporations. She began her career as a Sales Assistant before quickly transitioning into HR, ultimately becoming Director of Recruiting and New Hire Development at legal tech startup TrialGraphix, Inc., where she built recruiting departments from the ground up and tackled complex hiring challenges. Christie has held high-impact roles at global companies, including SunPower Corporation and YETI, where she led international hiring, exceeded DE&I targets, and established new offices abroad. She excels at sourcing niche talent across corporate functions, technology, and sales, and is passionate about leading with empathy and accountability. A skilled communicator and influencer, Christie is an expert in employment best practices, university program management, and building the processes and infrastructure to support business growth. After a brief career pause for caregiving, she returned to Austin, TX, completing a contract with Commerce (formerly BigCommerce), where she confronted one of the biggest disruptions in recruiting she has seen: AI-driven fake candidates.
