Candace Ramirez lives right outside Seattle in Bellevue, WA and is a Content Creator at 1Password - a 100% remote company. As a former PowerToFly VIP, Candace found her current role after attending a virtual chat with Taylor Lane, Founder of Remote Like Me. Candace is a few years into her healing journey with PTSD, and in that time she's learned how to navigate job searching, disclosing to employers, and finding ways to thrive and advocate for herself at work. On the side, she's writing a guidebook for women with PTSD.
Suzanne is a recruiter who thrives on seeking out the most diverse candidates to solve disruptive companies needs. Her hundreds of connections on LinkedIn helps her identify top talent from organizations who are looking to take their skill sets to another level. Best selling book, Strength Finder 2.0 Book, written by Tom Rath, describes her personality as a "WOO." This means she has the ability to Win Others Over. Sheely-Walker has a journalism background which allows her to ask the tough questions to hiring managers and candidates alike in order to meet their individual needs. This career matchmaker saves the day for the employer and job-seeker.
Andrea Hall is a Global diversity and inclusion and HR expert with 15+ years of experience. She works to advance company growth by providing strategic leadership on company-wide D&I initiatives and strengthen diversity and inclusion efforts. She currently is the Senior Global Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Mira Stern is a queer white Jew born and raised in San Francisco, who currently lives in Oakland as a settler on Chochenyo Ohlone land. Mira is a consultant and facilitator for tech companies, organizations, and school systems that are committed to developing equity strategies rooted in racial justice and community building. She is a life-long educator and advocate for justice, focusing on developing white antiracist consciousness and capacity for change. Her organizing work spans from youth development and prison abolition to reparations movements and Palestine solidarity work. Mira recently finished her Master’s work in Education & Social Justice at USF, creating a 9-part workshop series on whiteness and antiracism for white educators. She is a plant witch and committed to earth-based practices as a central component of our movements for collective liberation.
