As a mid-life career changer, I decided to take a leap of faith and return to school. I planned to pursue a Masters in Human Resource Management while working full-time and caregiving for my family.
Juggling these roles, in addition to trying to engage in the HR space, plus active membership in two professional associations was not easy. In the midst of this, I was nominated to be a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the nation’s largest leadership society through the university. These accomplishments really helped to make the struggle feel worthwhile.
In this chat, I will share my story, how I navigated this busy path, how I am still learning & adjusting to my new career, plus some insights to make your journey a little easier.
