During my career, I’ve had my share of highs and lows. The lows can feel insurmountable - like everything’s, well, a hot mess. What’s gotten me back on track hasn’t been my own brilliance, but a diverse network of college friends, current and former colleagues, mentors, and sometimes even acquaintances. My “hot mess squad” gives me the space to be messy and honest, helps me see the reality of the situation, keeps me accountable, and builds me up to keep me moving forward.
