Since I’m unable to gain experience with my full-time role, I’ve managed to find volunteer opportunities at work and create a passion project on the side to enhance my experience and skill set. Calicia Johnson is a Strategy and Development Manager at Chevron, where she also volunteers to serve as the Engineering Recruiting Team Lead for various universities and diversity conferences. She is the founder of Student Career Studio, a nonprofit organization designed to be a one stop shop for students to have access to scholarships, internships and leadership opportunities.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Calicia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida A&M University and her Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
