Meet The Speaker

Co-Founder and President Emerita, Mocha Moms, Inc.

Cheli English-Figaro is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Yale University and Columbia University School of Law. After working at a corporate law firm and for the Department of Commerce, she shifted career gears after having her first child. During that shift, in addition to teaching and managing a medical practice, she co-founded Mocha Moms, Inc. She is the last active co-founder and currently serves among other things as President Emerita, a National Board Member, Director of Chapter Chartering, Occupy Schools Director, and Mocha Mom Network Developer.

Cheli is also a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and The Links, Inc. She and her husband, Dr. K. Michael Figaro, MD have been married for 29 years and are the parents of two adult children and one teen who is in 10th grade.
