A Roadmap to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Education
As an educator, Kayren Gray and her colleagues were deemed "experts" in their subject matters, but it was often assumed everything else in the classroom would simply fall into place. They knew the “what," some of her colleagues even knew the “why," but all of them were uncertain of the “how"– how to connect with students from different backgrounds, cultures, and lived experiences. Kayren developed a framework to recognize and celebrate diversity, nurture a culture of inclusion, and construct an equitable classroom to set students up for success.
