Meet The Speaker
Nadeja, who also goes by Deja (like Deja Vu), currently resides in San Francisco, CA where she stepped into her role as Sr. Account Executive on the Employer Partnerships team at Springboard - an online bootcamp dedicated to bridging the worlds skills gap for career-changers & beyond. Deja is no rookie to the edtech sector, having worked in the industry for nearly two years with a focus on creating equal opportunities for career-changers in tech. Her personal journey is a testament to how the stars can align even if the dots don’t seem to connect on a surface level.
Prior to stumbling into the education world, Deja was certain that a career as a news anchor would be her calling. Having studied Broadcasting & Communication Studies in undergrad, even going on to obtain a certification in Video & Radio production after college - what she thought would be the stepping stone into an on-air slot, opened up the doors for her to land an Account Executive position at a local R&B & Hip-Hop radio station in Denver, CO connecting buyers and sellers. This is where her love for leaning into the stories of business owners, and conveying those stories to forge genuine connections amplified. For her, it wasn’t just about driving sales, but getting to the root of the purpose behind the business.
This experience coupled with her personal values and testimony is why she is so passionate about advocating for the advancement of non-traditional approaches to hiring and retaining talent.
