At DREAM, learning never stops and opportunity is their great equalizer. DREAM has 27 different communities throughout Cabarete, educating more than 8,000 children, youth, and young adults through 17 innovative programs. We're excited to bring DREAM's Program Coordinator, Nathalia Trujillo. She will walk us through the different ways DREAM is creating equal opportunities to learn and develop.

DREAM Project

Nathalia Trujillo is currently pursuing a Masters in International Education Policy at Harvard University.

Her previous work includes teaching 5th grade bilingual education and literacy intervention program coordination in the Dominican Republic public schools, and as a Project Associate for the International Development Division at American Institutes for Research.

During her time at DREAM Project she hired, trained and supervised six new teachers for new USAID project Espacios Para Crecer (EPC), with 420 students. Supervised 13 public school teachers (each with 70 students) by monitoring reading levels, attendance, and social- emotional learning while providing feedback and modeling lessons. Led monthly professional development trainings for 25 teachers on best practices. Coordinated 7 summer camps across the Dominican Republic each with 25 staff members and 1,150 students in total. Designed and modified curriculums for various projects. In addition she worked in conjunction with World Learning to coordinate ESL professional development opportunities for public school teachers on the north coast. Trujillo earned a masters degree in Early Childhood Education with a bilingual extension and her teaching license from the New York Department of Education.
