Question by Charlotte, Program Project Manager

I'm starting a new job/company next month where I was fortunate to have been able to define the job, which is change management & strategy-focused. In a past similar role, I was often dragged into helping with day-to-day operations. I made it clear during the interview process I wasn't interested in any day-to-day operations, but how do I maintain this boundary without appearing "uncooperative" in emergency all-hands-on-deck situations?
