OnsiteCollins Aerospace is a seeking a highly motivated Machinist Engineering Services to join our Aerostructures Composite Manufacturing team in Riverside California. Collins Aerostructures business is a world leader in the design, manufacture, integration, and support of nacelles -- the aerodynamic structures which house aircraft engines. As a Lead Technician, you will machine composite and metallic ;(e.g. aluminum, stainless steel, titanium) parts by operating computer numerical control (NC) or numerical control (NC) machines. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that involve fabrication processes such as composite hand lay-up, adhesive bonding, and/or mechanical assembly.
Works onsite 5 days per week at our Riverside California facility.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform CNC/NC machine operations under minimal supervision
Program, set-up, and operate a variety of conventional and CNC/NC equipment to perform machining operations to established methods and procedures.
Prepare and perform bench operations such as hand polishing, grit blasting, deburring
Read and follow established procedures and work instructions
Interpret basic blueprint if required.
Inspect manufactured products visually and dimensionally using required documentation to verify configurations, quality and identify nonconformance from workmanship
Perform periodic maintenance tasks on CNC/NC Machines, such as cleaning and lubricating fixtures and equipment, adding fluids, changing filters, and tightening fasteners.
Participate in audits of processes, procedures, and work areas.
Use computers and office equipment to record and process transactions
Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.
Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Experience with programming, set-up, and operating CNC/NC machines
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace industry experience
Composites fabrication experience
Mechanical assembly experience

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 137,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
