Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
Cloud SDK is responsible for client libraries for GCP APIs in 8 programming languages. We use code generation to build these libraries based on API definitions. The Core Client Libraries team is responsible for the code generators and other core infrastructure in the libraries, as well as building and releasing these auto-generated libraries.
The libraries are the programmatic front door to GCP, responsible for 90% of API traffic to GCP API backends. We support 100+ partner teams across GCP, as well as supporting Vertical SDK teams with more complex client libraries that are built on an auto-generated core.
- Work closely with Engineering Management and Technical Leadership to establish the Cloud SDK team presence in Warsaw, with a focus on bringing AI into our products and improving the developer experience of using the SDK.
- Enhance RAG systems with SDK documents and artifacts to improve generative AI tools used by GCP developers.
- Improve API documentation and other aspects of the developer experience.
