Email Marketing Specialist
Job Description
This role will be responsible for all aspects of email delivery and monitoring, including:
- Working closely with teams across the business to gather the information needed to deliver email marketing campaigns to our customers
- Building out end-to-end workflows within our email marketing platform
- Scheduling, deployment, and measurement of performance of all email campaigns
- Leading all email testing efforts to ensure optimal performance is achieved through all campaign types
- Collaborating with technical teams to automate the flow of information and segmentation data into our email marketing platform
- Partnering with our email platform vendors to ensure SLAs are adhered to
- Reporting out regularly to senior management on the effectiveness of email marketing programs
- Making and implementing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of email campaigns by researching best practice, conducting multivariate tests and measuring the effectiveness of all elements of our email campaigns
- Suggesting & testing approaches to customer segmentation

About the role
We are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to be part of our growing Digital organization. As part of the Performance Marketing team, this role will use advanced email marketing tools and techniques to deliver messages to the right customers at the right time. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of email delivery. We’re looking for a highly motivated, hands-on individual with a strong background in email marketing who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment with a strong focus on learning and development.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related area
- 2+ years of email marketing experience; working with lists of at least 50K contacts is a big plus, as is experience with ‘big player’ platforms
- 2+ years of experience with web analytics platforms, preferably Google Analytics
- Intermediate understanding of HTML/CSS
- Some experience with data manipulation and warehousing tools such as SQL is a big plus
- In depth, hands-on experience working with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Adobe Campaign, Responsys, Eloqua or similar
- Expert understanding of email marketing laws across the Americas and how to make sure campaigns adhere to those laws
- Expert marketing project management experience
- Expert level understanding of web analytics platforms, such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, as well as additional tools available to help manage and monitor email campaigns
- Detailed understanding of key metrics for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns
- Strong commercial awareness; ability to manage vendors effectively and interpret financial data
