Job Summary:
Raytheon is looking for an experienced senior engineer to serve as the Surveillance Radar Program (SRP) Systems Engineering (SE) Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead at our Woburn, MA location. The successful candidate will interface directly with Chief Engineers, IPT Leads, Program Managers, other discipline CPT Leads, and external customer to ensure technical, schedule, and cost success of Systems Engineering products. The candidate will be responsible for leading the technical execution of all Systems Engineering scope including capability development, defect identification and root cause analysis, technical program reviews, development of the team’s technical bench strength, active management of Risks and Opportunities, preparation and presentation of Directorate Estimate at Completion (EACs), Directorate level proposals, staffing projections and monthly EVMS tracking.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Managing the execution of all Systems Engineering scope on SRP SE Cross Product Team (CPT), determining the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and reviewing and approving any SE contract deliverables before delivery to the customer.
Provide technical leadership and oversight of all Systems Engineering work within SRP contracts, working with representatives from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, IPT/CPT Leadership, and Program Office to achieve success.
Actively manage all aspects of Earned Value including cost, schedule, and Risk & Opportunity positions to ensure predictable performance in support of monthly tracking books and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
Support new business as the primary lead for SE scope in new contracts, proposals, and estimates.
Facilitate the technical development of Systems Engineering personnel to ensure the SE CPT has the skillset to execute new and existing scope.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 year’s professional experience in aerospace/defense industry
Demonstrated capability as a leader of Systems Engineering teams
Demonstrated success working with other disciplines in achieving program success
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
Experience defining and driving technical execution plans
Existing DoD Secret clearance or higher
Qualifications We Value:
Advanced degree is preferred
Professional experience in aerospace/defense industry with emphasis on missile defense and ground based sensors
Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
Demonstrated ability to lead failure investigation teams to root cause determination
Excellent communication skills with prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics
Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges
Familiarity with FMS and DCS Contracts
Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience
Import/ Export knowledge and/or experience
Interfacing with supplier/vendors providing module requirements/specification to support subsystem designs

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
