This is a Short Term Employment (STE) role of 14 months and will be located in our Dublin, Ireland office.The Community Experience (CX) Event & Program Manager will work as part of a larger team to connect Metamates to our mission, work and to each other. The role provides the opportunity to influence Meta’s global culture and employee experience. It encompasses both a global element in delivering strategic event playbooks to sites worldwide and a local, Dublin based element of planning and executing culture and community building events on the ground. The ideal candidate will possess a strong communications and project management background with a focus on creativity, innovation, attention to detail and continuous improvement. They should be a thought leader in planning and executing community building events and bringing a company's culture to life. They should also have experience working with multiple cross functional partners across different countries. This role is based in our Dublin office and will report directly to the CX Global Event Manager.

Community Experience Event & Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Global Responsibilities:
- Support Global Event Managers in defining and bringing to life tentpole global events that connect Metamates to the mission, the work and to each other.
- Project manage the creation of global event playbooks and toolkits.
- Develop and drive event planning milestones and ongoing program schedule.
- Manage communications and relationships with Community Experience Team, cross-functional stakeholders and partners, vendor partners, and peers.
- Solicit internal employee feedback and execute event lessons learned evaluations to capture key learnings and process improvements.
- Support event metric development and analysis to ensure objectives are met.
- Support the development of the global events calendar that corresponds to the Community Experience team's annual strategic plans.
- Support the continuous improvement of event processes, tools, and communication mechanisms.
- Local Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Community Experience Team sites to align on local culture and community building event programming.
- Support the design and delivery of local culture and community building events in Dublin.
- Organize onsite event activations in Dublin and manage all relevant details such as AV, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, and facilities.
- Design and craft event communications to promote events internally.
- Manage external supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, creative and RFPs.
- Support budget management including contracts, purchase orders, purchase requests, payment and reconciliation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of program management / event management / consulting experience
- Experience managing multiple programs / events simultaneously
- Experience being successful in ambiguous environments, removing obstacles independently and tactfully, and making decisions autonomously
- Proven success in managing complex planning in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace
- Demonstrated use of data and metrics to measure event program impact and effectiveness
- Ability to influence stakeholders across teams, locations, countries
- Strong written and verbal communication
