About the role
The Marketing Technology team is responsible for building and maintaining the data to support SoundCloud’s marketing strategies. You will build and maintain data pipelines to enable marketing campaigns operationally and pipelines and reporting to support campaign performance management. This position requires a blend of data engineering, analysis, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of marketing technologies, concepts, and platforms. You will work closely with the business, product, data, and marketing teams to achieve this. You will gather and refine requirements, design architecture and solutions, coordinate client/backend integrations to achieve requirements, and build data pipelines to enable the marketing team's operations and reporting. You are a strong individual contributor who thrives in a dynamic environment.
About you
As a Senior individual contributor, you will be able to manage stakeholders, plan and lead technical projects, and identify and focus the business value of projects.
Must have:
- Senior Level Data/Marketing Professional
- +6 years experience ideal, +4 years minimum experience.
- Experience working with Cloud technologies
- GCP
- BigQuery
- Advanced SQL knowledge and Python experience
- Experience in Data Architecture/solution design and building complex and high-reliability ETL pipelines
- Experience working with Customer Data Platforms, such as HighTouch, MParticle or Rudderstack.
- Experience working with CRM solutions, such as MoEngage or Braze, and knowledge of customer segmentation.
- Experience working with Tag Management and Web Analytics tools, such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Experience integrating data to enable campaigns and building data products for campaign performance reporting.
- Experience enabling cross-channel marketing, including PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising and marketing analytics such as CTR (Click-Through Rate), CPC (Cost Per Click), open/click-through/conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and ROI.
- Experience with social media marketing enablement, reporting for platforms like Facebook, and reporting on key metrics such as engagement rate, reach, and impressions.
- Experience designing solutions for tracking various customer touch points using deep links and UTMs, as well as different attribution models (e.g. last-click, multi-touch) and measuring their impact on marketing effectiveness.
- Excellent English-speaking communicator and demonstrator
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and Consent Management Platforms.
- Airflow experience
- Experience with experimentation (A/B testing)
- Experience working with subscription-based businesses
