The Application Modernization and Innovation offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large-scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) & other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Application Modernization and Innovation offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business. We provide operational value, modernized mission solutions, and enhanced technology innovation.
Work You'll do
Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instructions books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment. Acts as supervisor to other Technical Writers. Observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of work and revisions. Edits material prepared by other writers or plant personnel. May specialize in writing material regarding work methods and procedures.

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $163,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Qualifications
Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
- Bachelor's Degree in applied science or any related field
- 3 years of experience with technical writing with a focus on editing, proofreading, copy editing, etc.
- Practical experience in the edit and review of technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions for technical editors
- Experience developing technical documentation including test plans, reports, and briefing materials
- Must possess strong skills in document editing, structure, and logic flow for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred:
- Master's degree in applied science or other related field
- Active Top Secret Clearance
