The AVP, Data Transformation Lead plays a significant role building relationships with key stakeholders to building and delivering scalable analytic solutions which meet the operational needs of the business while also advancing the state of data transformation.
Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include:
- Working with stakeholders (Finance, Actuarial, UW, Claims, Stat Reporting) to help understand and clarify complex requests
- Work with Digital Product Managers and IT to provide feedback and guidance with roadblocks, complex insurance, actuarial, or financial related concepts, or unique stakeholder requests
- Provide first line of user feedback for Digital Product to help ensure key components are planned accurately
- Review Issue Log to provide Digital Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts guidance on source of issue and resolution type, as well as ensure proper handling of issue resolution
- Perform high level reconciliations and analysis of data for reasonability and as final review before sending test packages out to super users
- Oversee Enterprise Reporting Platform buildout from Data Transformation perspective, working with super-users and Digital Product Managers in the requirements and testing phases.
- Oversee the review and inclusion of additional enterprise reporting requests during buildout and ongoing to ensure cohesive vision.
- Assist in change management by supporting and communicating with super-users throughout the development of the Data Stores, escalating risks and employee resistance, and assisting in adoption by providing ad-hoc training and guidance to users
- 7+ years of experience in data and analytics
- Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives
- Experience working within a complex Agile framework
- Proven experience partnering with Analytics/Actuarial/Data Science business groups
- Strong leadership and influencing skills at the senior management level with a demonstrated willingness to challenge the status quo and influence change
- Ability to collaborate and partner with multiple teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organizational
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- P&C Insurance experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience supporting analytical and/or technical projects
- For individuals assigned or hired to work in Jersey City, the base salary range is USD $148,614.00/Yr. to USD $201,066.00/Yr. as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
