Supports the EEE Parts Engineering group within the Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate of Northrop Grumman Space Systems.
Duties:
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Supports the EEE Parts Engineering group within the Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate of Northrop Grumman Space Systems.
Duties:
- Apply in-depth understanding of EEE components and relevant technical standards to support the selection and evaluation of EEE parts for use in spacecraft orbital operations and ground testing equipment.
- Support requests to add parts to part master database based on program or platform requirements for flight use and ground support use
- Support design reviews from a EEE components perspective to release new designs
- Lead individual programs and/or enterprise level activities related to assessments of EEE components used on internally designed assemblies as well as subcontracted or supplier components.
- Able to identify and address impacts to program/platform from industry technical alert sources. Consulted by program/platform to help understand or identify path forward for issues impacted by these sources.
- Support programs/platforms with identification of parts or alternates to meet demanding reliability/performance/cost/schedule objectives.
- Evaluate non-compliances to industry and company standards to provide risk assessments to key program stakeholders.
- Collaborate with mission assurance, engineering, manufacturing, and other organizations to meet ongoing production and new product development needs
- Review supplier provided data packages for flight components detailing testing and other relevant part information
- Review submitted data from subcontractors related to parts lists for compliance to subcontractor product assurance requirements
- May support proposal and IRAD projects, including evaluation of alternative technologies and articulate risk
- Create parts and materials specs (SCDs) to support mission requirements for components
- Understand configuration controls related to components and be able to support creating/reviewing change notices or new release notices for configuration controlled documents
- Supports creation of non-standard part approvals (NSPARs) for evaluations of non-preferred parts
- Supports parts control boards (PCBs/PMMBs/PMPCBs) to evaluate EEE components within a spacecraft in conjunction with other technical experts, which may include customer representation
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field
- 5 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with QMS processes and tools
- Experience with Product Lifecycles and Obsolescence management
- Experience with DLA, NASA, and other military/space standards related to EEE components, manufacturing, handling, and storage of EEE components
- Experience with NCR processes, RCCA investigations and methodologies to drive improvements or changes through the RCCA process
