Raytheon has an opportunity for a Manufacturing/Production Supervisor in the Seapower Capability Center (SCC) within the Hardware/Sensors and Test Value Stream. You will have overall responsibility for the manufacturing operation team(s) in a fast paced and dynamic environment and will manage a team of assemblers and/or technicians. Daily interaction with other cross-business teams in SCC to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, finance, and the program management office.
Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position. Ensures assembled hardware meets contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production. Provide a safe work environment and will be actively engaged in safety improvement projects.
What You Will Do
- Deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress.
- Identify root causes of hardware design, production capacity, quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans.
- Operate in multiple shop floor and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production capability/schedule.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience utilizing business systems and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets.
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean / six sigma implementation projects.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
- Experience in MRP, Shop Floor Management, Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
- Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees, time keeping, and labor rules and regulations.
