- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Cadence and Allegro tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with Computer-aided Design (CAD) or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, and Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) Design.
- Working knowledge with mechanical design outline formats.
- Working knowledge with FPC and RIGID-Flex layout.
- Working knowledge with high-speed board designs or layouts, and familiarity with high density Ball-Grid Array (BGA), blind, and buried vias.
- Familiarity with all phases of hardware development including schematic entry, manually generated constraints, requirements of the constraints and board layout.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art PCB design tools and methodology.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Work with mechanical PCB outline and layer setup; component placement and signal routing.
- Interface with board fabrication vendors to select and use correct impedance rules, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Testability (DFT) rulesets.
- Work with Hardware Engineers, PCB Designers, Mechanical Designers, and Fabricators for development and sustaining of actual products.
- Work cross-functionally with Electrical Engineers, Product Designers, and DFM/DFA teams.
