Education, Licenses, Certifications
B.S or BA in applicable field, MBA preferredThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Significant level of relevant work experience required.- Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes
- Train and instruct other members of the Supply Chain team
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods
- Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (Transformation)
- Help in coordination of Annual Physical Inventory
- Work to develop cycle count process for plant
- Supporting planning teams by removing any obstacles and escalating issues
- Work with Change control team to implement structure/inventory changes
This is an On-Site Role
Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management and order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains.Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
Mitigate long term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders.
Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.
Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources, and capital.
Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
