Job Description Team The ServiceNow Platform Administration team within our Digital Technology Operations department is a group of talented and energetic individuals. The team works closely with application developers, product owners, internal users/employees, and other stakeholders to maintain the health of critical ServiceNow platforms and related systems. Role We are seeking an engineer to execute platform administration responsibilities. The primary objectives of this position are supporting internal stakeholders troubleshooting issues, providing training, and fulfilling requests all while maintaining a high level of service, collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement. This person will also work on upgrades, deployments, security finding/vulnerability remediation, project planning and governance of sub-production environments. What you get to do in this role:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of production/sub-production environments including necessary configurations and integrations, and application admin activities.
- Analyze incidents to identify application and system problems and possible solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists in troubleshooting integration, and user management issues by digging into application and system logs
- Develops procedures and scripts for monitoring and automation of manual processes.
- Engage with product engineering and support teams to troubleshoot issues and any planned activities
- Maintain system documentation for configuration and troubleshooting of known issues.
- Develop and share best practices for Admin operations and enhancements based on lessons learned
- Participate in activities outside of core hours and on weekends when required including participating in on-call coverage for the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 3+ years of IT industry experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of technology platforms, particularly web applications/SaaS platforms
- ServiceNow platform administration experience preferred.
- Experience supporting/administering other enterprise platforms and technologies is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript libraries, Web services, SOAP, Java, SQL, and LINUX
- Experience working with application logs, prefer experience using Splunk
- Good understanding of ITIL framework or experience working in an ITIL-based environment
