Your Future: Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Media Production Analyst (Video Editor/Producer) to work with our training team to create visually appealing, engaging training content and promotional videos for a DoD Customer. Join our team and be involved with creating and editing YouTube-style 3-7 minute informational and demo videos. We cover everything from basic computer system familiarization to the operation of dozens of computer applications; we also create videos promoting our systems to outside organizations. You would be responsible for reviewing audio/visual footage and using computer software to organize clips into a cohesive unit for several private computer networks. Your duties would include splitting or combining video clips and adding appropriate sounds or graphics so that it communicates well to the intended audience. Responsibilities:
- Creating 3-7 min video clips that include compelling visual effects such as motion graphic templates, picture-in-picture, and pop-up graphics for YouTube-style videos.
- Create both rough and final cuts that contribute to video concepts, scripts, and productions.
- Reformatting videos for optimal internal company/customer social media consumption.
- Occasionally research production topics using various information sources and tools.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and departments, responding to project requests and ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines and style.
- Staying up to date with the latest standards, changes, and trends in website interaction as well as technologies and tools.
- Aspire to create compelling video experiences that communicate the message to the intended audience.
- US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months.
- Valid US state driver's license.
- 2+ years' experience working on editorial and branded content.
- Expert proficiency of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Captivate.
- Proficiency with Adobe Audition and Audacity audio editing software.
- Basic understanding of camera, lighting, and audio disciplines.
- Experience in web live streaming and YouTube publishing.
- Excellent attention to detail; ability to work tight deadlines with consistent level of quality.
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights versus public domain re-use.
- Active consumer of video trends, willing and able to bring creative ideas to the table.
- Ability to adapt to changes in production plans/schedules.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of Information Technology and Cybersecurity is a plus.
- Working knowledge of video capture, filming technical topics and people.
- Experience administering Moodle Workplace or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS) to include updating/uploading/staging of new content, configuring certification programs, and creation of reports for course completion or annual renewal requirements.
- Knowledge in Adobe After Effects a plus.
- Experience as a trainer or course developer for military training courses.
- During the first 30 days of employment onboarding activities include Northrop Grumman training requirements, program overviews, and department-specific training that will establish a solid foundation for the new team member. Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into the team dynamics while identifying key areas where the Video Producer/Editor can provide value to the mission.
- Day 30 through 90 will consist of further integrating the Video Producer/Editor into daily activities with a team lead to guide them. Tasks will be assigned in accordance with our DoD Customer's priorities.
- Day 90 and onward will consist of DoD Customer and team lead prioritized projects. You'll be supporting the Lead Trainer and the Training Team in developing "How-To" style videos, creating automated presentations, and producing YouTube-style instructional videos for cutting-edge feature enhancements to the enterprise architecture. You will also have the ability to invest in your future while delivering maximum value to our customer's mission.
