A Product Manager manages the balance of overseeing current value delivery while looking to the horizon and planning for the future. The Product Manager leads a team including product owners and operational leads to deliver change that enables operational teams to provide exceptional execution for our customers. The incumbent is a bold thinker, data-driven, passionate about, and guided by a strong desire to understand operations. As a people leader he/she values developing team member curiosity and supporting their growth.
- Define & quantify business value associated to improvement opportunities; leveraging the information to drive a business case
- Define high level business requirements & acceptance criteria associated with requirements
- Prioritize work through operational metrics that identify process improvement opportunities
- Monitor & manage business value delivery to operational area
- Accountable for the operational and user readiness for the delivery of changes; understand the impact of change, translate the approach to manage adoption and mitigate resistance.
- Own a delivery roadmap that addresses prioritized operational opportunities
- Partner with enterprise groups to assess impacts to the department, with associated prioritization and scheduling within a delivery roadmap
- Lead solution design across operations and technology teams for roadmap intent
- Utilize communication channels and an approach which are efficient, engaging, and appropriate for respective stakeholders
- Make connections for peers, customers, stakeholders, and teammates through storytelling
- Make data-driven decisions
- Build a deep understanding of customer to meet their needs & delivery value
- Lead by example while developing team members through coaching and learning plans
- Ensure the comprehensive set of activities for product delivery are well-managed
- Proactively manage all key stakeholder expectations and relationships

- Actively manages all project and key stakeholder expectations and relationships, including vendor management.
- May manage Agile Product Owners.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

- Industry work experience in healthcare such as hospital, managed or long-term care, insurance, government or other healthcare agency
- Experience working directly with Agile multiple teams on projects in role as Product Owner, Agile Coach, or Product Manager
- Experience managing project delivery & change management within specific timeframes
- Experience using spreadsheet software (e.g. MS Excel) to manipulate data using formulas and creating pivot tables, etc.
- Experience using Version One, Jira, or other agile software delivery management tool
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Reader and Writer to make content changes, printing to .pdf, gathering digital signatures, and creating templates/forms
- 3-5 years of Product Management or equivalent experience with successful history of delivering complex solutions in a fast-moving environment.
- Process and delivery training and/or certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or LEAN
- SAFe certifications (SP, SPC, or PM/PO)
- Familiarity with (ENTER AREA OF EXPERTISE – for enrollment & billing infrastructure) (technology and processes) is a plus
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315
