Job Description ABOUT AVERY DENNISON Fastener Solutions The Fastener Solutions business unit of Avery Dennison is a worldwide manufacturer of plastic fastening systems used in the automotive, apparel, retail, industrial and packaging industries. Our three-shift injection molding and extrusion operation is located in Fitchburg, MA. The Fastener Solutions business unit is ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified. ABOUT YOUR ROLE Avery Dennison is seeking a Product Manager to join the Fastener Solutions business. In this position, you will support Marketing, Sales, and Business Development by being responsible for managing the P&L for the automotive product portfolio. We are looking for an individual that fits in well with our entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about bold growth. You will report to the Director New Product Development and Mexico Operations. In this important role you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for managing the P&L for a select product portfolio and developing and implementing pricing strategies for the assigned products to optimize growth and profitability.
- Contribute to the development of strategic and annual operating plans and lead efforts of a cross-functional team efforts to meet evolving customer and market needs.
- Execute a portfolio management approach to assigned products to optimize growth and profitability.
- Lead execution of multi-generation product plans including: new product introductions and line extensions, product re-engineering and cost out, product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training and other sales tools and communication of product and service program changes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of key segment communication plans including product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training, PR, advertising, website, on-line marketing material etc.
- Participate in external events and end user calls/visits to understand market insights and trends and ensure our strategies are aligned to meet future needs.
- Collaborate with sales force and regional segment managers to support growth and/or product development initiatives.
- Work closely with the R&D and technical support teams to develop and launch new products in your designated markets.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development/implementation of service strategies & programs for assigned product lines.
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years experience leading a technical product line with demonstrated growth and performance or related commercial experience
- Ability to generate support and excitement among an informal, cross-functional team in a matrixed organization
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills
- Strong financial and business insight with a consistent track record of results
- Attested project leadership and critical thinking skills
- Located in greater Boston, MA or greater Detroit, MI regions
- MBA degree
- Sales experience
- Engineering undergraduate degree or experience working in a technical, business to business environment
- Prior expertise in solution based manufacturing or similar materials
