Visa is seeking a Manager, Marketing Services UK&I. This vital role is based in our regional headquarters in London and will strategize and partner with customers and sales teams to identify opportunities to drive marketing activities that lead to successful commercial outcomes for the client. This will be done through leveraging Visa marketing & communications brand, assets, and capabilities, to develop co-marketing programs which deliver measurable and mutually beneficial business outcomes. This role will focus primarily on co-marketing opportunities with Strategic UK clients.
Reporting to the Director, Head of Brand and Customer Marketing Partnerships, the successful candidate will be a results-oriented, highly motivated and inspirational marketer with the ability to drive commercial outcomes. They will bring to this position marketing experience in world-class brands and will be ready to drive Visa’s growth to the next level in the UK, through marketing that is strategically sound, engages with consumers’ hearts and minds, and delivers on our customer’s business objectives.
What’s it all about:
The Manager, Marketing Services UK&I will:
- Support key client relationships and negotiations around the implementation of marketing activities in the UK, including brand/performance marketing, digital/social media, and marketing services with a key tier 1 national client.
- Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns to drive issuance, preference, activation, and usage among diverse audiences, solidifying Visa’s positioning as the leader in electronic payments in the market and driving profitable transactions and revenue for both Visa and its clients.
- Leverage our top sponsorship properties (i.e., FIFA, IOC, UEFA Women’s Football) through creating engaging marketing programs that win with consumers and clients.
- Manage the optimal deployment of budget, demonstrating an MROI across functions, partnering with key stakeholders to prioritize high impact outcomes that advance Visa’s strategies across consumer payment flows, commercial solutions, and value-added services.
- Provide strategic thought leadership as part of the market’s business plan. Develop innovative, new to Visa ways of delivering value to clients.
- Effectively partner with the Sales teams and Country Managers to properly incorporate the view of the market (client, competition, economy trends) into the marketing strategies
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders within and outside of the function, including Marketing Services, Product Marketing, Sales, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Client and agencies to expand capabilities and synergies and drive commercial outcomes, while building strong internal and external partnerships
- Support the development of client co-marketing and marketing services at a C-suite level, making marketing and the Visa brand more valuable to these stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with executive leadership in the market and successfully navigate the diverse and dynamic business environment.
- Partner with the commercial teams in BAU, renewals and RFPs, focusing on developing unique value propositions and managing high-quality content.
- Understand market trends and consumer needs to deliver marketing strategies that meet core OKRs.
- Ensure all marketing activities have measurable outcomes and maintain a robust feedback loop for continuous improvement. Utilize insights from Analytics and Data Science teams to identify opportunities for Visa and partners.
- Prioritize digital marketing actions, incorporating AI/Machine Learning.
- Collaborate with Regional Hub functions to identify specialized agencies and manage briefings for content and experience initiatives. Addressing client/market conditions with data-led marketing solutions.
- Adapt global frameworks for market-level impact.
- Ensure compliance to Visa processes, key controls and brand standards.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What we’re after:
- Results-oriented marketer with experience with world-class brands.
- A track record in creating work that drives preference and differentiation.
- Experience in the fundamentals of marketing and with a clear commercial focus
- Experience in client engagement, while a proven track record in selling product and services to clients, cross-selling/up-selling, and cultivating and growing strategic partnerships is preferred.
- Experience in Solution/Capability selling, with a focus on crafting compelling value propositions, narratives, and sales pitches.
- Self-motivator and strong collaborator with a pioneering spirit
- Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to communicate to a diverse customer audience, including internal audiences and external partners.
- Adept and rigorous strategic thinker, problem solver and pragmatist, using data to convey insight with strong story telling capabilities.
- Proactive sense of urgency and ‘can do’ attitude; ability to lead a team that can be agile and evolve and adapt to dynamic business conditions.
- Experience managing relationships with agencies, partners, suppliers, and other vendors, including driving creative teams to go above and beyond.
- English proficiency essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
