Trading UI Engineer (Java Swing) - Volatility We’re seeking a proficient Java developer to enhance our existing multi-asset trading UI platform with state-of-the-art volatility trading capabilities. The role involves integrating systematic access to markets, Vol Execution, and trading analytics tools into a unified, streamlined interface. The developer will also work on pivotal strategic enhancements including broker algorithm integration and complex options support. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in developing and maintaining Java-based front-end applications in the finance sector. Exceptional team collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across various global time zones are crucial. Here is a unique opportunity to drive substantial impact within a top-tier investment management firm. Technical Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of development experience in Java
- 5+ years of building UI front ends, specifically with Java Swing
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object Oriented design
- Deep understanding of Multithreading and Distributed Systems
- In-depth experience in OMS and trading
- Extensive experience with high performance, low latency, and scalable/distributed system design and development
- Excellent knowledge of unit-testing frameworks and continuous test driven development practices
- Familiarity with the Futures and Options trading
- Experience with messaging middleware, Solace preferred
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. MongoDb preferred
- Experience working with financial data, including reference data, market data, order/execution and positions data.
- Experience working with Cloud: AWS (preferred), GCP or Azure
