Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Test Systems Engineer, Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate in McKinney, Texas. TEE is a multi-discipline organization responsible for contributing to the development of test solutions for all Raytheon products. Typical teamwork involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products including both lab engineering and factory production test systems.
As the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), you will be responsible for leading highly skilled & dedicated test system engineers accountable for delivering Advanced Technology Sensors’ products and services. As a high performing IPTL, you will support proposals and lead the execution of the baseline management plan through coordination with internal customers, multiple engineering disciplines, and functional leadership. Earned Valued Management expertise is required to communicate status as you are accountable for EACs, LREs, and agile development metrics.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Support the program management planning, daily execution, and coordination of the Advanced Technology programs
- Responsible for the monitoring and tracking of metrics, budgets, and schedules for the program including quarterly EACs, monthly LREs, PPRs, PMRs, TIMs, and other program milestones
- Responsible for managing multiple deliverables in alignment with test system requirements
- Responsible for properly communicating staffing needs, performing EAC’s and meeting critical development and release timelines
- Establish a strong relationship with the program area, customer, and related programs to further invoke confidence in the ability to successfully complete development activities in a timely manner per the budget
- Incorporate test automation to streamline program deliverables and increase productivity
- Provide leadership, vision, strategy, and guidance to ensure the goals of the integrated product team align with the overall Advanced Technology portfolio of programs
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience including both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments
- Demonstrated Integrated Program Team Lead (IPTL) or Program Management (PM) experience showing the ability to collaborate with multi-functional, cross-discipline teams on projects, working groups, and/or inter business units
- Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management
- Budget Change Request (BCR) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation for Engineering programs
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- EVMS Certification, Program Management Certification, or equivalent
- Strong influential communication skills with the ability to present analytic and performance results from program to senior leaders
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and ability to communicate complex messages to executives and senior leaders
- Experience and demonstrated success managing change, building teams in a matrixed organization, developing leaders, and mentoring others
- Demonstrated large/complex program execution experience
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering design and release processes, transition to production, and manufacturing process development and maintenance
- Experience with Automation Test Equipment development using a Unit Under Test (UUT) or Device Under Test (DUT)
- Understand Agile Methodologies
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of RF technology across communications and radar systems

- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
