- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working with optical design tools (e.g., ZEMAX, CODE V, FRED, LightTool), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Python.
- Experience in lens validation and testing.
- Experience in lab setup and optical metrology.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Set up lab experiments and perform optical tests.
- Develop new tools and techniques for measuring the optical properties of camera components.
- Work with other optical engineers and cross-functional teams to explore new lens technologies and camera designs.
- Participate in evaluating development builds, ensuring new features work as intended, and potentially troubleshooting critical issues before mass production.
