Position:Hardware Engineer I (IC) (eInfochips Inc)Job Description:What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver wiring design and architecture by working with global teams from Platform, System Integrators, Design Owners, Procurement, Product Approval, Safety and Codes, Labs, Quality, Suppliers, Manufacturing, as well as ability to support multicultural (Global) teams.
- Responsible for conducting, supporting, and/or overseeing multiple wiring projects across categories (Refrigeration, Cooking, Laundry and/or Dish), to deliver project requirements for cost, quality and velocity.
- Create Harness models and drawings using Creo Cabling.
- Ability to read and apply wiring schematics and working knowledge of electrical principles Define routing strategy by understanding assembly and safety requirements.
- Create sub system design concepts and evaluate the best one to move forward.
- Ensure the design(s) developed meet the DFM/ DFA/ DFS and FMEA assessments.
- Verify subsystem design against DVP&R requirements at each verification phase.
- Release design for tooling and manage risks in the project proactively.
- Capture and reuse knowledge at each milestone and at end of project, Support development of Zero Base Plan with the key stakeholders, managing the requirements in order to achieve the minimum modules and variances needed to cover all platform architectures.
- Use proper tools to report problem-solving (A3), Concept selection (Pugh Matrix), Decisions taken (Decision Matrix), 6 Sigma Tools (Thought Map, Product Map, Process Map, etc.).
- 2+ years of engineering or technical experience leading projects for product development.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Willingness to learn CREO schematic and parametric cabling.
- Advanced English, oral and written Preferred Requirements.
- 3+ years of experience in Wiring Harness Product Development Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to support global teams.
- Experience with CREO schematic and parametric cabling.
- Y+ years of experience in CAD 2D/3D (must have) (e.g. Creo, Catia, Solid Edge) ○ Global, NAR/EMEA/LAR: (3mo + for Associate, 3+ for Analyst, 6+ for Sr Engineer).
- Hands on experience for wiring with knowledge of wiring, wire types, connectors and connector types.
- Experience with electrical systems on appliances.
- Black Belt/Green Belt trained or certified / Opex tools knowledge and application.
- Project Management certification (PMP) is not mandatory.
