We have an immediate career growth opportunity for a mid-career Industrial Engineer to join our I.E., team providing support to new, developmental and production programs. Visit RVS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zixvFAC2kA Explore Raytheon in Goleta: https://careers.rtx.com/global/en/raytheon-goleta-ca-location The candidate will have responsibility for site Lean manufacturing initiatives; planning sequence of operations and specifying procedures for product fabrication and product performance; monitoring current operations and determining more efficient production processes; mapping and analysis of value streams; managing and leading kaizen projects; identify and reduce inefficiency and waste, and overall ensuring that products are manufactured in a cost efficient manner while meeting the established quality standards. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Reading and understanding of Engineering drawings.
- Lead a cross functional project team.
- Generate technical documentation as well as to forge teaming relationships and partner with all levels of Operations and Manufacturing stakeholders.
- Typically requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in one of those areas (Industrial / Mechanical / Manufacturing / Process Engineering) Or an advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.
- The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Green Belt Certification.
- Familiarity with semiconductor processing equipment, methods, processes, and cleanroom work environment (Class 100); familiarity with various microscopes and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of SAP & Eyelit and MiniTab systems is a plus.
- Experience working on engineering level programs from conceptual phase, preproduction phase, to production build; designing control systems to reduce cost and manage production issues.
- Training and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites (MS Project, Excel, Power Point)
- Oral & written communication skills
- Work with minimal supervision, good problem solving abilities as well as keen analytical and organizational skills.
