Manages and executes new program sourcing strategies for integrated product teams, while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and low-cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development. Responsible for creating and implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is aligned with desired program outcomes. There is a strong preference for this role to be onsite in Everett, WA. However we may consider a hybrid or remote role for an ideal candidate. This role may be eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Follows the Collins Aerospace best practice standard work for NPI processes.
- Acts as liaison for engineering technology, material and component optimization, new product cost analysis, design readiness and manufacturing producibility.
- Ensure alignment with commodity managers, account managers, supplier development, supplier quality assurance and value streams to ensure business measures are achieved.
- Selects source for new products in line with commodity sourcing strategy.
- Develops supply chain plans and quality management measures for new products.
- Executes value analysis of new product supply chain operations.
- Monitors and manages scope in purchasing the new products.
- Supports the execution of new program sourcing strategies while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and low cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development.
- Responsible for planning to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes.
- Preparation and issuance of RFP’s.
- Perform risk identification/analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems.
- Ensures FAI delivery timelines are met and changes are executed in a timely manner to support the project deliverables.
- Coordinates program transition from new product introduction professional to production buyer.
- Supports supplier relationship, development, and performance.
- Identifies, validates, and refines cost reduction initiatives.
- Establish priorities and ensure timely execution of projects.
- Coordinates with Commodity Management on negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms.
- Able to support travel as needed (up to 20%).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

- Program/Project buying experience.
- Strategic sourcing experience.
- SAP Experience
- Technical aptitude with ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
- Process Improvement experience
- Aerospace Industry experience
- Microsoft Office to include excel, pivot tables, Tableau, PowerPoint
- Experience in procuring a variety of commodities
