The Optum EHR Services Cerner Scheduling Analyst will support our partnership with Northern Light Health and grow our emerging support service line. As a Cerner Scheduling Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between end-users, project team members, and other resources while providing exemplary customer service and application support for various front-end revenue cycle, patient access, and digital patient-facing solutions used within Northern Light Health. These solutions include Cerner Scheduling across all venues and on both the Millennium and Revenue Cycle platforms, as well as other vendor solutions related to appointment reminders and patient self-scheduling and self-registration. In addition, you will develop optimization offerings and support various revenue cycle and clinical projects to ensure end users have the best possible experience. EHR Services team members will help position Optum as a center of excellence for application management services. Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to new implementations, software upgrade initiatives, and enhancements to workflows throughout the design, build, and test phases
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation or through an established support process
- Provide product support including design, build, and testing for various applications
- Collaborate with end users to design and build the system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configurations or enhancements
- Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality and acquire and utilize knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented
- Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation occurs
- Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities and collaborate with vendors and other IT analysts in order to design and implement effective solutions
- Configure, build, and maintain various vendor solutions across all applicable platforms
- Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required
- Perform in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with supported software
- Understand the client culture and organizational model and actively builds relationships to establish oneself as an approachable, credible partner.
- Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curricula and materials
- Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control
- Develop solid relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings
- Collaborate and engage with leadership and committees supporting the overall strategy
- Serve as role model and coach in quality customer service
- Define and oversee system testing when required, ensuring sufficient documentation of completed system testing, test results, and updates needed to test plans
- Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience designing and building a Cerner Scheduling implementation or upgrade, including owning solution configuration and validation required for project work
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience collaborating with other IT functions to oversee the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support and improvement of Cerner Scheduling applications
- 5+ years of experience with healthcare domain knowledge including both clinical and revenue cycle support functions and workflows in a healthcare organization
- 2+ years of experience working with both the Cerner Millennium and Revenue Cycle Scheduling platforms
- Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification
- Demonstrated consultative and collaborative style with demonstrated ability to work within with cross-functional teams
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Proven history of and demonstrated team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrate self-motivation, individual leadership, and team collaboration skills
- Demonstrated experience leading small- to large-scale optimization projects
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence others, including working across diverse groups to drive commonality and reusability in solutioning
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Ability to follow project management and appropriate implementation lifecycle methodologies
- Demonstrated relationship management skills in complex situations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
