Position Summary:
Design nutritional profiles for all product innovations and renovations (Cat 2 projects) linked to 1 or more categories. Evaluate the scientific data behind new ingredients and develop new concepts and present to category leads. Contribute to Global Product Value Dossiers in collaboration with scientific and regulatory affairs. Lead Ideation and Prototyping workshops in collaboration with category managers and brand managers and train newly onboarded team members. Contribute and propose new projects/ideas/activities/solutions to NPTC NHSc, SBUs and Operations. Build and document knowledge and share about latest trends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Propose and deliver nutritional and scientifically relevant solutions for MN & CC categories
• Manage knowledge building projects. Present results in written and oral form to interested parties and senior leaders
• Propose new projects, write briefs, manage project activities, budget and stakeholders according to I2L
• Ensuring all stage gates are closed timely and within project costs and performing risk assessment analysis.
• Explore patentable technologies and processes
• Substantiate patent applications with scientific data and support patent attorney in patent writing
• Broad understanding of condition-specific nutritional needs, ingredients, digital tools, food science, and environment knowledge
• Actively participate in expert network to promote cross-fertilization between different sites (R&D, Org. Units)
• Practice and develop facilitator skills to be applied during I&P workshops. Mentor interns
Experience and Education Requirements:
• PhD or equivalent in nutrition, biological or chemical sciences in relevant field, RD preferred
• 5+ years of experience in clinical settings/medical nutrition therapy, ideally gained in medical or food industry
• Ability to work autonomously with a strong team spirit
• Flexible, open-minded, problem solving mindset and passion for innovation & nutrition
