If you’re ready, we want you to join our Oxygen & Passenger Service Unit team in Lenexa, KS. We specialize in creating oxygen breathing systems for commercial passengers/crew, and military programs – including parachutists! Cool, right? This role is a literal lifeline for anyone that breaths, so that’s all of us! If you’re ready to take the jump, your time is now! Position will support relocation. What YOU will do:
- You will serve as the technical mechanical product expert as you partner with project engineers, electrical engineers, software/system engineers, certification engineers, and other project team members from around the world while designing circuit board integrations for all things oxygen.
- You will lead the analysis of our existing processes while also developing new processes.
- You be involved in all phases of the engineering processes from concept evaluation and proposal to design and development to qualification/certification and product field support.
- You will participate and/or chair design reviews and lessons learned to ensure mechanical design maturity and troubleshooting any challenges.
- You will gain exposure to global stakeholders and peers at our facilities in India and Germany.
- You will become an expert at regulatory and customer compliance.
- You will be able to takes initiative to suggest improvements to product and processes.
- You will learn how Oxygen systems work for passengers, crew, and even parachutist.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum years of experience or in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD development tools (or equivalent) and integration with Team Center (or equivalent).
- Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

- Experience designing and troubleshooting mechanical oxygen or gaseous systems including regulators, cylinders, hosing, and breathing systems.
- Experience in developing mounting containers for the oxygen and passenger service unit systems.
- Mechanical component obsolescence and alternate parts mitigation.
- Experience with Aerospace products.
- Experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD environmental qualification.
- Experience with Oxygen Systems or Passenger Service Units (PSUs) or similar systems.
- FEA (Finite Element Analysis) experience.
